Life is busy

Last Thursday I believe, I stayed quite late at work to help setup the new airtools department with a couple very close friends. We had been pulling tons of late nighters in preparation for the beginning of this month which is the annual airtools sale. Anyway, midnight rolls around and we decide it's time to head home, but it turns out that the alarm wont set. We looked all over that night to try and figure out what is wrong with this "new and improved" alarm but we couldn’t find a bloody thing so we call the alarm company...5 times and no answer. I guess 24 hours for them is like McDonalds' "100% Real Beef." So here we are, Terry, Ryan and I stranded at work and can't leave the building because it was broken into the month before and what if someone purposely messed up the alarm. Terry and I tell Ryan to go home because Friday is the start of his biggest sale of the year and he's been working 12-16 hour days for weeks in preparation for his departments move. He put up quite a fight as I think he knew we would be staying up all night taking trash and pouring our hearts out (really, guys aren’t much different than girl in that regard.) Terry runs home to grab some sleeping bags and tell Laura of the situation as she might get worried. Let me talk about Laura for a minute. She has to be one of the most amazing women I've ever met. She has such an amazing heart and attitude. I only hope that one day I find a woman as understanding as her. So there Terry and I are, curled up in sleeping bags in the general manager’s office talking until all hours of the night. I think we finally stopped at around 4am. The next morning, I get woken up at 6 by a warehouse guy trying opening the door on my head...that was an interesting way of waking up. Honestly, I'm really glad it happened. It gave us some time to talk about what's happening in our heart and where our lives are going. He's moving to Ireland in a month so it was great to have one last gab.
